Black Cap Tim Southee was involved in a sensational catch in the Indian Premier League overnight.
Playing for the Rajasthan Royals against the Kings XI Punjab, Southee was fielding on the long-on boundary when Punjab's captain George Bailey belted a huge shot towards him.
Southee ran to his left as the ball was falling out of the sky towards the boundary rope he was guarding. Realising he wouldn't be able to take the catch cleanly, Southee reached out a hand and batted the ball back towards his teammate Karun Nair who was coming from the opposite direction.
Miraculously, Southee managed to keep the ball airborne just long enough for Nair to claim the catch on the rebound.
