BRIDGETOWN, Barbados - South Africa smacked 170-4 against New Zealand in their World Twenty20 Super Eights match at Kensington Oval on Thursday.
After Jacques Kallis (31) and Graeme Smith (14) gave the Proteas a 40-run start inside five overs, and Herschelle Gibbs pushed the score along with 30, AB de Villiers and Albie Morkel combined for 72 runs in 6.2 overs. De Villiers finished unbeaten on 47 off 39 balls, while Morkel was run out for 40 off 18 balls off the second-to-last ball.
