New Zealand were impressive in a seven-wicket win over India in Derby today, in the first of two official warmup matches ahead of their women's World Cup.
They bowled India out for 130 in 45.1 overs, with two wickets apiece for Anna Peterson, Erin Bermingham and Hannah Rowe.
New Zealand responded with 133 for three in 26.3 overs, of which opener Rachel Priest top scored with 52 off 57 balls.
She put on 72 for the first wicket with captain Suzie Bates, who made 30, while Katey Martin (29 not out) and Sophie Devine (20 not out) completed the job.
Palmerston North 20-year-old Rowe was the eye-catching turn in the field, taking four catches to go with analysis of 6-0-25-2 from her medium pacers.
