New Zealand's Jesse Ryder claimed a bag of 10 wickets to propel Essex to a big win over Glamorgan in English county cricket today.
Ryder took six for 47 in Glamorgan's first innings 162 with his gentle medium pacers, and followed that with four for 53 in their second innings of 213 as they tumbled to a 248-run win in the division two county championship match at Chelmsford.
He contributed 24 and an unbeaten 41 with the bat.
The win put a dent in Glamorgan's push towards promotion to division one. They are third on the table, one spot ahead of Essex.
Former international Ryder has become a popular figure at the English county since appearing to have turned his back on international cricket.
