Jesse Ryder has been offered a contract to play for Wellington in the upcoming domestic cricket season.
The six provinces have announced their initial contracted player list, with Ryder one of 13 players named in Wellington's squad.
Former Australian wicketkeeper Luke Ronchi has also been offered a Firebirds contract.
There are a few other notable moves.
Black Caps left-arm spinner Roneel Hira is leaving Auckland and heading to Canterbury, while former test glove man Reece Young is returning to the Aces.
