Six months on the sidelines hasn't stopped Jesse Ryder return to form with the former New Zealand international making a ton in his Plunket Shield debut for Otago.
Ryder, who began day two on 48, made 117 in his first innings for Otago against his former side Wellington at the Basin Reserve.
It was Ryder's 14th first-class century. He was eventually dismissed by Andy McKay, caught by James Franklin. Ryder served a six-month suspension for a failed drug test.
At lunch Otago were 497 for five with Derek de Boorder (22) and Iain Robertson (7) at the crease.
