New Zealand are hoping to build on a strong start in their remaining group games at the women's world Twenty20 championship.
They beat India by 10 runs in their opening Group B game at St Kitts yesterday, and now face Sri Lanka tomorrow and Pakistan on Tuesday.
With opener Suzie Bates getting the innings off to a bright start with 32 off 30 balls, New Zealand reached 139 for eight. Nicola Browne (24) and Rachel Priest (20) also made handy contributions.
India were restricted to 129 for eight, with Mithali Raj's 44 off 36 balls the pick. Wellington left-armer Sian Ruck and her provincial teammate Lucy Doolan picked up two wickets apiece.
"A few people got a start with the bat but didn't go on and our seamers need to make some real improvements for the games coming up," captain Aimee Watkins said.
Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by a single run in the other game yesterday.
