The New Zealand A cricket team were beaten by Sri Lanka A in a rain-affected 50-over match in Cardiff on Sunday.
The weather reduced Sri Lanka's innings to 20 overs. They amassed 133/7, Chaturanga de Silva top scoring with 52 off 35 balls
Hamish Bennett was the best of the Kiwi bowlers, picking up the tidy figures of 3 for 14 off his four overs. Doug Bracewell also got among the wickets, taking 2 for 23.
The required run rate of 6.65 an over proved too much for the New Zealand batsmen, who were all out for 121 off 19.4 overs.
Dean Brownlie top scored with 36 off 29 balls, while Hamish Rutherford hit a brisk 35 off 19 balls.
