New Zealand left armer Neil Wagner has signed on for Lancashire and is expected to play most of their first-class season this year.
Wagner is expected to be available until at least the end of July and maybe longer depending on whether he is picked for New Zealand's tour of South Africa later this year.
He has currently taken 67 wickets from his 18 tests. Wagner previously had a brief spell in county cricket with Northamptonshire.
Lancashire are back in division one and Wagner is expected to be an asset in their quest to stay in the top flight.
''Neil is a world class bowler with a tremendous pedigree and having him available for such an extended period will give our campaign a real boost," Lancashire coach and former England spinner Ashley Giles said.
