Northern Districts coach James Pamment has criticised the communication from Black Caps management in the lead-up to this week's domestic Twenty20 cricket finals.
Pamment says they were told late last week that Tim Southee and Corey Anderson would be made available for tomorrow night's preliminary final against Canterbury.
"We touched base with our Black Caps who were with the squad and they were keen to play but obviously further communication between them and Mike Hesson has decided that they'll rule them out.''
But Pamment says he respects the Black Caps decision, given they have an important series against India coming up.
Sydney Thunder pace bowler Chris Tremain will join Northern for tomorrow night's playoff.
