Despite having the odds against him once again, former Black Caps star Brendon McCullum turned 22 balls in to 43 runs and stole victory for his Gujarat Lions side in the IPL.
The performance comes just days after McCullum scored 60 from 36 balls in a thrilling victory over the Delhi Daredevils.
MS Dhoni and Steve Smith's Rising Pune Supergiants scored 195 runs off their 20 overs, with Australian Smith scoring an outstanding 101 runs off just 54 balls.
Opener Ajinkya Rahane chipped in with 53 of his own as the Supergiants raced out to the second largest target of the tournament this season.
The Lions' chase was almost started in the worst way as McMullum was nearly run out for zero. However, Dhoni was unable to hit the stumps and McCullum would live to face another ball.
