King's College have lifted the coveted Gillette Cup for the second year in a row after going through the national secondary schools cricket tournament in Lincoln unbeaten.
The final round was washed out today but King's had already secured top spot before the day's play was called off.
Captain Simon Hickey won the Young Player of the Year award for the second year running on the back of his 361 runs and six wickets in just four matches.
"It's awesome to be able to maintain the Gillette Cup for the second year in a row," Hickey said. "It feels amazing to send the year 13s out on a winning note, especially since some of them played in the team for three to four years."
