Cricket: IPL reaches semifinal stage

The Bangalore Royal Challengers beat the Deccan Chargers by 12 runs in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Centurion, South Africa overnight.

The result means Bangalore finish third in the preliminary stage of the competition, and Deccan Chargers fourth.

The Chargers now have to face the top-ranked Delhi Daredevils in tonight's first semifinal.

In the other match played overnight, the Delhi Daredevils defeated the Mumbai Indians by 4 wickets.
