India's cricket tour match against Central Districts ended in a draw after rain forced an early end to the third and final day at McLean Park in Napier today.
India were 191 for three in their second innings when the match was abandoned at 4.30pm, with Sachin Tendulkar on 52 and V V S Laxman on one. Opener Sanjay Bangar was dismissed for 70 just before the end when he was caught on the long-on boundary off spinner Glen Sulzberger.
Seamer Andrew Schwass took the wickets of Virender Sehwag for 61 and Rahul Dravid for one this morning to end with figures of two for 28 off 14 overs.
Central led by 86 runs on the first innings after scoring 295 for nine declared yesterday.
The first match of the two-test series against New Zealand starts in Wellington on Thursday.
