Cricket: Harris returns home for personal reasons

Veteran allrounder Chris Harris, the hero of New Zealand's two victories over Australia in the current one-day international tri-series in Australia, has returned home for personal reasons, New Zealand Cricket said in a statement today.

The statement did not elaborate on the reasons for Harris' withdrawal, but said NZ Cricket supported his decision.

Manager Jeff Crowe said Harris had the full support of the team.

It was not known if Harris would rejoin the team during the current series.
