The Wellington Firebirds beat the Central Stags by 29 runs in in a bizzare six over HRV Cup game in New Plymouth last night.
A heavy downpour throughout the day looked as if the match would be called off, but the rain stopped just in time.
The Firebirds posted 88 for three from their allotted overs thank to 32 off 10 balls from Grant Elliott.
Central struggled in the chase, finishing on 59 for four.
