A Dean Brownlie century lead New Zealand A to a 22-run victory over the England Lions in Bristol overnight.
Brownlie's 115 came in a 50-over match against the Lions. Both teams are competing in a tri-series with Sri Lanka A.
New Zealand A won the toss and made 282 thanks to Brownlie's knock and 42 from Grant Elliott. In reply the home side could only manage 260, despite a century from Jonny Bairstow (123).
Coach Bob Carter said Brownlie's century was an outstanding knock considering the quality of the England bowling attack, which included England test veteran Steven Finn.
Carter also praised the efforts of opening bowlers Matt Henry (3-48) and Scott Kuggeleijn (1-50), who prevented England from getting off to a good start.
