Sun and success have eluded the Black Caps on their tour of Sri Lanka but with a break in the weather they've had a chance to finally properly prepare for a match and end their losing run in the fourth ODI on Saturday night (NZT).
The Black Caps face a must-win clash against Sri Lanka after dropping the second and third matches following a rain-out in the opening game. Rain also played a pivotal role in the other two matches with the Duckworth-Lewis method having to be used on both occasions.
All-rounder Nathan McCullum admits it's been a tough tour but accepts bad weather is part of the game.
"It has been frustrating but at the end of the day it's part of cricket. It's part of touring and it happens. I guess at this time of year we've got to accept it and we've got it move on.
"We need to try and take our focus away from the rain and all other things uncontrollable - it's about winning games of cricket and what we do now."
