Bangladesh yesterday fired cricket coach Trevor Chappell, saying they were not happy with his performace. The former Australian allrounder, who took over as the national coach a year ago, could not stop Bangladesh's poor run in international cricket. They have lost 10 and drawn one of their 11 tests since their debut against India in November 2000. "I'm disappointed because I was told earlier that I would be staying on with the team until the World Cup in South Africa next year," Chappell said.
