An Indian groundsman who failed to report a corrupt approach before a one-day international involving the Black Caps has been suspended.
The ICC handed a six-month ban to Pandurang Salgaonkar, who told undercover reporters, who were posing as bookmakers, that he could manipulate the Pune pitch ahead of an ODI in October.
Salgaonkar also offered to share information about the playing surface in violation of the ICC's anti-corruption code.
Salgaonkar was suspended by the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) ahead of the one-dayer between India and New Zealand in Pune but the match went ahead after the ICC match referee cleared the pitch.
