Australia has named its side for the Boxing Day Test against India, with young pace bowler Mitchell Starc and uncapped allrounder Dan Christian missing the cut.
Ben Hilfenhaus has been recalled at the expense of Starc, who took only four wickets in the recent two-test series against the Black Caps.
Captain Michael Clarke says selecting Hilfenhaus was straight forward. Clarke says he's a very good new ball bowler, he can ball long spells and he's had success against India as well.
Shaun Marsh returns to bat at number three after overcoming a back injury, while opening batsman Ed Cowan will debut at the MCG.
