KEY POINTS:
ADELAIDE - Australia will continue what will be a long haul towards India's big total on day three of the fourth and last cricket Test at Adelaide Oval.
The home side resumes at none for 62, still 464 runs behind India, who made 526.
Matthew Hayden is 36 not out and Phil Jaques 21 not out.
Despite trailing by so much, Australia will take heart from the last Test at Adelaide, in December 2006, when they beat England despite the visitors passing 550 in their first innings.
But India also won from a similar position on their last visit here, in December 2003, and are aiming to square the series at 2-2.
More hot weather is expected and that should guarantee another crowd on a significant day for both nations, as it is both Australia Day and India's Republic Day.
