Auckland have made one change to their thirteen-strong squad to face Otago in a round two Plunket Shield national four-day cricket championship match starting tomorrow at Auckland.
Gareth Shaw comes in to provide another potential bowling option with Craig Cachopa dropping out of the squad.
Auckland who missed out on first innings points in a first round draw with Canterbury, will again rely on a bowling attack comprising three current or former internationals in skipper Kyle Mills, Daryl Tuffey and Andre Adams.
Exploiting that talent and getting big runs from the top order will be the prime objectives for coach Paul Strang said.
"It was really just one hour that undid us in Christchurch. Apart from that I was fairly happy with what we did and how we went about it. It's now just a case of cutting out the bad sessions."
Auckland squad to play Otago: Kyle Mills (captain), Andrew de Boorder, Andre Adams, Michael Bates, Brad Cachopa, Colin de Grandhomme, Anaru Kitchen, Colin Munro, Jeet Raval, Gareth Shaw, Bhupinder Singh, Greg Todd, Daryl Tuffey.
