Former Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist says his family is "unbelievably grateful" after an appeal to his almost-700,000 Twitter followers helped find his family's lost dog.
The 46-year-old, who retired in 2008 after 96 Tests and almost 300 one-day internationals, turned to social media on Tuesday after discovering the Gilchrists' cavoodle Honey has escaped their home in Subiaco, Perth.
In a series of tweets describing the light caramel pup, he acknowledged Twitter had previously led him to find his wife's lost watch.
"Twitter has helped me before so here goes," he said.
It was again good news for Gilly.
