A second Indian weightlifter, Satheesha Rai, has tested positive in a drug test at the Commonwealth Games. He won two gold medals and a bronze in the 77kg category.
Another Indian lifter, Krishnan Madasamy, was earlier disqualified and stripped of his three silver medals after testing positive for 19-Norandrosterone, a metabolite of performance-enhancing nandrolone.
No details were available on the type of drug in Rai's case. Indian officials said they would request a B-sample test, which confirms if the initial test is correct.
If Rai is stripped of his medals, India's haul of 32 golds will be reduced to 30, one less than Canada, who will then climb to third position in the medal tally, behind Australia and England.
