Nicky Samuels will contest the individual triathlon event at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in July.
The Wanaka triathlete appealed her omission from the New Zealand squad when it was named in April.
The New Zealand Olympic Committee has approved her subsequent nomination from Triathlon New Zealand, which decided after revisiting Samuels' case at the behest of an independent review panel, that she did have the potential for a top six finish in Glasgow.
Samuels joins Andrea Hewitt and Kate McIlroy in the women's event, to run on July 24. Tony Dodds, Ryan Sissons and Tom Davison are in the men's individual event, while Hewitt, McIlroy, Dodds and Sissons will form the mixed relay to be staged two days later.
