The first New Zealand athletes named for next year's Commonwealth Games haven't wasted any time talking up their medal hopes.
Synchronised swimming sisters Nina and Lisa Daniels of Dunedin have climbed to 26th in the world but more important, third in the Commonwealth, creating optimism they can reach the Open Duet podium at Melbourne in March.
"We're aiming for a top-three finish," Nina Daniels said yesterday.
