Several Commonwealth Games medal prospects will take part in the second Harbour Crossing ocean swim off Auckland on Saturday.
Leading New Zealand swimmers and triathletes will compete in the 2.8km swim from Stanley Bay to the Viaduct Harbour.
World championship swimming finalists Dean Kent and Liz Coster will lead the way with Athens Olympians Helen Norfolk, Rebecca Linton and Moss Burmester.
The competition from the triathletes is led by Athens Olympian Nathan Richmond and Terenzo Bozzone.
The women's field includes new world under-23 triathlon champion Andrea Hewitt.
