New Zealand Commonwealth Games backstroker Melissa Ingram has grabbed a win at a World Cup meet in Singapore.
Ingram, who finished out of the medals in the 200m in New Delhi, won last night's final of the women's 200m backstroke in the short course meet that attracted a number of the world's stars to the Singapore Sports School complex.
After cruising to qualify third fastest, Ingram dominated the final from the gun to win in two minutes, 03.99 seconds from American Julia Smit and Germany Jenny Menshing.
She broke her own national short course record in the process, the time established at the Berlin World Cup two years ago.
