New Zealand triathletes added a double medal haul to their Athens Olympics heroics with silver and bronze in the Melbourne Commonwealth Games women's race at St Kilda today.
Sam Warriner took silver behind Australian world No 1 Emma Snowsill while Andrea Hewitt held off compatriot Debbie Tanner in a desperate sprint to the line to take bronze.
The silver and bronze follow in the footsteps of Hamish Carter and Bevan Docherty, who won gold and silver in Greece.
Both men, and Kris Gemmell, line up in the men's triathlon later today.
