North Harbour defender Lizzy Igasan has been forced to withdraw from the New Zealand women's hockey team for the Commonwealth Games.
Igasan is recovering from a wrist injury suffered during a men's club game in Whangarei in April. Fellow North Harbour fullback Paula Enoka will replace her.
It is not yet known whether Igasan will need surgery, but team management have withdrawn the 19-year-old in the interests of her long-term career.
