New Zealand cyclists Greg Henderson, Hayden Godfrey and Tim Gudsell have all qualified for the final of the scratch race tonight in Melbourne.
Henderson in particular is seen as a strong prospect for a Commonwealth Games medal.
Meanwhile, tonight's swimming semifinals at the Games pool will be packed with New Zealanders.
Hannah McLean has qualified 4th fastest in the women's 50m backstroke in a time of 29.36 seconds, while Liz Coster was 5th fastest on 29.7. Moss Burmester is 5th fastest for the 100m butterfly semis, while Corney Swanepoel qualified 6th and Andrew McMillan 14th.
Glenn Snyder qualified eighth for the men's 50m breaststroke and Annabelle Carey 14th for the women's 100m breaststroke semis.
Scott Talbot-Cameron came 10th in the 100m backstroke, with Cameron Gibson also qualifying, at 13th.
