Double Olympic medallist Hayden Roulston is out of the Commonwealth Games, after suffering an injury.
Roulston pulled out of the Criterium du Dauphine in France after picking up an Achilles injury in his left foot, which followed damaging his right foot.
Roulston, who won a bronze and silver medal at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and a silver in the Delhi Commonwealth Games road race, said he was hopeful of recovering in the next few weeks, his lack of competitive racing would left him battling to be competitive in Glasgow.
"I can't be sure that I would be 100 per cent recovered although this is more niggling injury than serious," Roulston said.
"Even if I came right quickly, I need international races to get in prime shape. A race like the Commonwealth Games is not something you can contemplate off training.
