The Commonwealth Games cycling squad will be revealed tomorrow, with around 30 riders expected to make the cut for Melbourne.
Bike NZ's High Performance manager Michael Flynn said the just completed World Cup track meet in Los Angeles has confirmed their thinking.
He says some riders who competed at the weekend have enhanced their chances, although the likes of Sam Bewley and Darren Shea in the teams pursuit will have to bide their time, with the Beijing Olympics in 2008 being a more realistic target.
Flynn said they have gained more experience and have to be patient, but he can not see them pushing their way in.
Michael Flynn said they will look to get approval from the NZOC to take 15 endurance and sprint track riders, six male and six female road riders and three male and three female cross country riders.
Flynn is hoping a 33 strong squad will be confirmed for the track, road and mountain bike events.
