Cyclist Julian Dean has withdrawn from consideration for the New Zealand Commonwealth Games team.
The rigours of a gruelling European season have taken their toll on the cyclist, who recorded a phenomenal three Stage podium finishes in the Tour de France.
Dean, 35, said today his team Garmin Transitions indicated they want him to ride the upcoming Tour of Spain (Vuelta a Espana) this month.
