New Zealand chef de Mission Dave Currie has hit out at the timing of tomorrow night's Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.
Currie has criticised games organisers for scheduling competition early on Thursday morning.
The New Zealand team will be among the last to march at the MCG, and will only arrive back in the village around midnight.
A number of kiwi athletes will not be marching in the opening ceremony. Currie argues day one of competition should begin late on Thursday night.
