Papua New Guinea athlete Steven Kari pulled off a massive 216kg lift to win Gold in the Men's 94kg weightlifting earlier today.
While Kari celebrated on stage, overcome with joy and cheered on by an admiring crowd, the story was very different for his closest competitor - Canadian Boady Santavy.
The Canadian can be seen kicking out in rage at his gear, as the cheers and celebrations continue for Kari in the background.
The win was truly an incredible feat for Kari. The 24 year-old became Papua New Guinea's fifth ever Gold medallist at the Commonwealth Games, and the first from his nation to win two after his gold in Glasgow, 2014.
Santavy, 20, was charged last month with failing to remain at the scene of a collision but was still eligible to compete at the Gold Coast Games because he has not been convicted.
