Almost 70 per cent of tickets to the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games have been sold.
Organisers say with just over 100 days until the March 15-26 Games, ticket sales were in "fantastic shape". A new round of sales started on October 15, and Games chief executive John Harnden said it had pushed the total number of allocated tickets to 863,319 - or 69 per cent of those available.
Tickets to the swimming, diving, basketball, cycling, gymnastics, netball and final for the rugby sevens are sold out.
