Organisers will give away 23,000 tickets to the closing ceremony to fill the stadium and have revealed some of the Australian artists due to perform on the night.
Singers John Farnham and Paul Kelly are strongly rumoured to be headline acts, though organisers have not confirmed their involvement. But fellow singer Ben Lee, who has been officially announced as an act, says on his website that Farnham and Kelly will be involved.
About 50,000 tickets have been sold to Sunday night's performance at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
