New Zealand won 45 medals at the Commonwealth Glasgow equalling the nation's best effort on foreign soil.
The 14 gold medals were the second most since Auckland 1990 and more then the last two Games combined.
David Nyika was the youngest golf medalist with victory in the men's 81kg boxing at just 18. Sam Gaze also aged 18 picked up a silver in the men's mountain bike cross country event behind fellow teen Anton Cooper.
Sam Webster finished the Games with the most medals - two gold and a silver - while Valerie Adams won her fourth career Games medal and third gold. Adams' gold in the shot put was New Zealand's 600th Commonwealth Games medal.
That number was at 609 at the end of the Games.
