Carl Commons was yesterday added to the boxing team for the Games in Melbourne in March after the New Zealand Olympic Committee accepted a resubmitted bid from Boxing New Zealand.
In November he was mistakenly named in the Games team of eight by coach Henry Schuster, before Boxing NZ had ratified the team.
Commons was then told he had missed out, enraging his coach Phil Shatford after he was one of New Zealand's form fighters with seven unbeaten bouts in 2005.
