The New Zealand women's triples team continued on their unbeaten way this morning, beating Samoa in their Commonwealth Games bowls match, but the women's pairs lost for the second time.
The triple, skipped by Nelson's Val Smith, bettered Samoa in straight sets, 10-8 10-6. It was their fourth straight win, after conquering Canada, Norfolk Island and Botswana yesterday.
The chances of Marina and Jan Khan making the quarterfinals in the pairs became bleaker this morning, when they lost in straight sets to Jersey, 9-10 3-9.
The Khan sisters dropped their opening match to Isle of Man yesterday before beating Niue.
