Tall Blacks coach Tab Baldwin is demanding improvement from his side, despite last night's 95-62 win over India in the opening game of the international series in Auckland.
The Tall Blacks made a sluggish start, but the pace and intensity of the game was too much for the Indians, who faded.
Coach Baldwin said there are some good things to take from the game, but most of all it showed some serious deficiencies in his side's armoury.
He said improvement is needed in all areas but they must find themselves as a team if they are to seriously threaten gold at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.
Meanwhile the Tall Ferns women were also winners in the opening game - 85-74 over the Indian women.
