World championship bronze medallists Sara Runesten Petersen and Dan Shirley have succeeded in their bid for a second seeding at the Commonwealth Games.
The world No 10 pair defeated Australian rivals and Travis Denney and Kate Wilson Smith in the final of the Oceania Champs at North Harbour last night.
Runesten Petersen and Shirley won a tough match in stifling conditions 21-13, 22-20 avenging the loss to the Australians in Sunday's teams event.
In the men's final Kiwi No1 Geoff Bellingham beat the New Zealand No 2 John Moody in three games in just under an hour.
