British quarantine authorities have been accused of trying to eat into Australia's Commonwealth Games medal chances by wrapping a 219kg shipment of muesli bars in red tape.
Britain's Environmental Health Department turned back a 7200-bar consignment for Australia's 371 athletes because some ingredients, including yoghurt, milk, eggs and honey, were restricted under British law.
The department will pass the container only if manufacturers Kellogg's provide a detailed breakdown of the percentage of each ingredient in the bars.
