Defending 1500 metre gold medallist Nick Willis comfortable with the security arrangements for the Commonwealth Games but still only intends to head to Delhi the day before he competes.
New Zealand Olympic Committee will make a final decision on whether to send a team to Delhi in the next 10 days.
The Games buildup has been plagued by security issues, shoddy construction, corruption and more recently a dengue fever outbreak.
But Willis told Radio Sport he hasn't thought twice about the possibility of withdrawing.
He says he would be very surprised if the NZOC made the decision to pull out because you often see these headlines come up but nothing eventuates from them.
Willis will prepare for the Games in Hong Kong and he says his family won't stay in an American owned hotel in Delhi.
