Have we seen a career breakthrough for 200 metres sprinter James Dolphin?
Dolphin made the Commonwealth Games final, finishing eighth and posting a time outside his personal best, but it is a rare visit for the black singlet to a sprint final at a major meet.
Dolphin says he wanted to go faster, but 200 metre runners seem to have been restricted by the MCG track.
James Dolphin says when even the top runners can not beat 20.40 seconds he could not hold out much hope for himself.
Dolphin still has the 4 x 100 metre relay to come, starting with heats tonight.
