New Zealand 400 metres runner Jane Arnott has come third in her heat at the Commonwealth Games, and will progress through to the next round.
However, the news from the track is not so good for New Zealand marathon runner Liza Hunter-Galvin.
Hunter-Galvan pulled out at the 30 kilometre stage of her race, with a pain in her legs.
Rebecca Moore came eighteenth, finishing in 3h3m35s, 32 minutes behind the winner, Australian Kerryn McCann.
