Auckland's King's College have beaten Christchurch Boy's High School by 81 runs in today's Gillette Cup final at Palmerston North to win the national secondary boys cricket competition.
King's College, batting first, scored 159 all out in 48 overs with Simon Hickey making a half century.
Defending champions Christchurch Boys' High were never in the hunt after
King's opening bowler Tom Urry ripped through their batting line up, taking six wickets for 10 runs off 8.5 overs.
Christchurch were dismissed for 78 in 34.5 overs.
