Giving evidence earlier in the week, Vincent accused Cairns of instructing him to underperform in a spot fix in that same game.
Bond told the jury that he watched the match on television and both teams seemed to be trying to score slowly and lose the game. In particular, he mentioned seeing replays of Cairns' face when the Chandigarh Lions' wicketkeeper scored some runs quickly.
"He didn't look happy ...I remember watching with some other players and commenting that it didn't look quite right."
Bond also said that Brendon McCullum, who also gave evidence overnight, had told him that Cairns had tried to recruit McCullum in spot fixing.
He told the jury that he had known Cairns since the 1990s and had a great relationship. Bond looked up to Cairns when they played together for New Zealand and became friends, as did their wives and their young families grew up together in Christchurch.
A former police officer, Bond also told the jury about the time Lou Vincent told him about a sponsorship deal and a naked woman in a hotel room in 2008.
Bond was in a hotel bar in India with his agent Leanne McGoldrick when Vincent, also managed by McGoldrick, came downstairs.
Vincent, who had just signed for the Chandigarh Lions, told them a man had offered him $20,000 as part of a sponsorship deal and then he found a naked woman in his bed.
"I remember saying something suspect was going on and [Vincent] should tell the guy to get lost.
"We reiterated he should have no further part to do with him Lou said 'yeah yeah yeah'."
Earlier in the week, Vincent told the jury how an Indian match-fixer Varun Gandhi had offered him a "wad of cash" and admitted having sex with the woman.
Vincent, who confessed later fixing matches for Gandhi, said he told Cairns about the approach.
Cairns then allegedly said: "You work for me now."
